Gradual Ascent (0–12 km): The outbound route from the Stadium heads through the city center toward higher ground passing through Ilboru and Sanawari neighborhoods, gaining ~80m over 12 km.
Rolling Mid-Section (12–30 km): The course runs through the western bypass and Ngaramtoni area with gentle rolling terrain. The turnaround point near the airport is the highest elevation section.
Return Descent (30–42 km): The return route is predominantly net downhill back into the city center, offering a fast finish through Magorofani and Florida Roundabout areas back to the Stadium.
